SVT40 Tokarev stuff

Scope and mount
The scope and mount are original. The scope is a real Tokarev scope, not a Moisin PU scope. The rear diameter of the scope is a little larger than the rest of the tube, which is the differentiating point between a Tokarev scope and a PU Moisin scope (which is the same diameter full length).
The repro mount is so close to the original that some people have sold them as original. The difference between the repro mount and the original are: 1. repro has a dull finish, while the original is polished blue. 2. The original has various proofs and other stamps, while the repro is unmarked.

Scope mount key
The key is 24.2 mm long. The upper part is a spring. The key may be pressed in from each side in the keyhole in the mount.

Strange marks on a SVT40
I have heard of a 91/30 with the same mark.
The meaning of the F.L.P.Mi. should be Feuer Lösch Polizei Mitau; fire brigade police (Mitau = Jelgava / Mitawa in Latvia)

SVT38 - 40 mags
From left to right: SVT38, early SVT40 and late SVT40

A small note about the AVT
The AVT is the full-automatic version of the Tokarev. The selector lever behind the trigger has 3 positions: 1) behind the trigger: Safe, 2) moved to the left: Half-automatic and 3) moved to the right: Full-automatic.
This type of selector is marked "S" and the rifles stock is marked with a large "AVT". The AVT is difficult to control during firing - and the magazine is empty very fast!!!
